Kuwait City, The Gulf Observer: Kuwait triumphed over the UAE with a thrilling 2–1 victory in the second round of the group stage of the Arabian Gulf Football Cup, “Khaleeji Zain 26,” at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium this evening.

With this victory, Kuwait raised their tally to 4 points, sharing the top spot in the group with Oman, who also defeated Qatar by the same score earlier today. The UAE remain at 1 point, leaving their qualification for the semifinals dependent on the results of the final round.

The match began with an early lead for the UAE as striker Caio Canedo scored a header in the 5th minute, thanks to a well-placed cross by Harib Abdullah. However, Kuwait quickly responded with an equalizer from Mohammed Daham in the 16th minute. The decisive moment came in the 89th minute when Muath Al-Enezi scored the winning goal, securing Kuwait’s vital victory.

The final round of the group stage is scheduled for next Friday. The UAE will face Oman at Jaber Al-Mubarak Stadium, while Kuwait will meet Qatar at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, with all eyes on the semifinals.
