Kuwait Welcomes UN Security Council Resolution for Comprehensive Ceasefire in Gaza
Kuwait City, The Gulf Observer: The State of Kuwait has expressed its support for the recently adopted UN Security Council resolution calling for a comprehensive ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the withdrawal of Israeli occupation forces.
The Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) reported a statement from the Foreign Ministry commending the resolution, which also advocates for the return of forcibly displaced Palestinians and the secure entry of humanitarian relief aid into the Gaza Strip.
The statement emphasized that adopting this resolution is a crucial and pivotal step towards ending the systematic aggression against the Gaza Strip and Palestinian civilians. It further called on the international community to take responsibility for ensuring the implementation of the resolution.
“Kuwait affirms that this resolution represents a vital measure towards achieving peace and stability in the region,” the Foreign Ministry stated. “The international community must act decisively to uphold the principles of justice and human rights by ensuring the resolution’s swift and effective implementation.”
The resolution’s comprehensive approach aims to address the immediate need for ceasefire, humanitarian relief, and the long-term goal of reconstruction and stability in Gaza. Kuwait’s endorsement highlights the importance of international solidarity and cooperation in resolving the conflict and alleviating the suffering of the Palestinian people.
