Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of Heydar Aliyev Foundation, Visits ICESCO Headquarters
Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Leyla Aliyeva, Vice President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, visited the headquarters of the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) in Rabat, Morocco, according to NHC reports.
During a meeting with ICESCO Director General, Salim bin Mohammed al-Malik, discussions focused on the activities of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and the growing cooperation between Azerbaijan and ICESCO. Special attention was given to joint projects with the Foundation and the upcoming COP29, scheduled to be held in Azerbaijan in November 2024.
At the center of the discussions were plans for ICESCO’s participation in COP29, particularly the organization’s representation with a dedicated pavilion. This collaboration underscores the strong partnership between Azerbaijan and ICESCO, with both parties committed to addressing global challenges, particularly in the areas of education, science, and culture.
Additionally, Leyla Aliyeva provided updates on the environmental initiatives spearheaded by the IDEA Public Union, an organization she founded. The meeting also explored avenues for future cooperation between ICESCO and the Heydar Aliyev Foundation in the field of environmental protection, further highlighting Azerbaijan’s efforts in promoting sustainable development and environmental stewardship on a global stage.
This meeting reflects the deepening collaboration between the Heydar Aliyev Foundation and ICESCO, paving the way for enhanced joint efforts in various cultural and environmental initiatives.
