Malaysia Advances Digital Economy and AI Integration at MED4IRN Meeting

Kuala Lumpur, The Gulf Observer: The second meeting of the National Digital Economy and Fourth Industrial Revolution Council (MED4IRN) for 2025 was chaired today, with encouraging updates reported on the nation’s progress in strengthening its digital and artificial intelligence (AI) landscape.

The meeting focused on accelerating key initiatives, including the enhancement of Internet services at public universities, the expansion of the MyGOV Malaysia application through integration with the Central Database Hub (PADU), and the coordination of the National AI Framework.

These strategic priorities aim to improve the quality of digital education and academic excellence, streamline public service delivery, and ensure the development of responsible and ethical AI systems.

In addressing the council, the chair emphasized the importance of inter-agency collaboration in executing these initiatives. Ministries and agencies were urged to leverage shared infrastructure, resources, talent, and existing expertise to build an inclusive and sustainable digital ecosystem for the benefit of all Malaysians.
