Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Malaysia’s King Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskander paid a visit to SAMI Alsalam Aerospace Industries, a subsidiary of the Saudi Arabian Military Industries Company (SAMI), during his official visit to the Kingdom on Wednesday, the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The Malaysian monarch was accompanied by Saudi Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al-Khateeb during the visit.

King Sultan Ibrahim was briefed on the company’s state-of-the-art facilities and advanced capabilities in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) of aircraft, as well as its contributions to the localization of aviation and space industries in line with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 objectives.

SAMI Alsalam Aerospace Industries plays a key role in developing sustainable industrial capabilities within the aerospace sector, supporting Saudi Arabia’s broader goals of technological innovation and self-sufficiency in strategic industries.

According to SPA, the visit also aimed to explore potential areas of cooperation between Malaysia and Saudi Arabia in the aviation and space sectors, reflecting the two nations’ shared interest in advancing technological collaboration and industrial development.
