Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman stressed that the establishment of peace in the Middle East needs the creation of a Palestinian state on all its territories occupied since 1967.

Dr Muhammad bin Awad Al-Hassan, the Permanent Representative of the Sultanate of Oman to the United Nations and head of the delegation of the Sultanate of Oman to the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly, said during the US-Gulf Ministerial meeting with the participation of Jordan, Egypt and Yemen in New York on the sidelines of the 77th session of the UNGA.

Dr Muhammad bin Awad Al-Hassan said that the establishment of peace in the Middle East requires the establishment of a Palestinian state on all its occupied lands since 1967, and the Sultanate of Oman is here to resolve the establishment of two states.

The US Secretary of State Tony Blinken affirmed that his country supports the two-state solution and will continue its efforts with the parties concerned to achieve this goal and to achieve peace in the Middle East.

During the meeting, they discussed aspects of strengthening relations and joint cooperation in all fields, supporting international economic recovery efforts, efforts to achieve regional security and stability, and supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at calming regional tensions.
