Migrant boat crossing Channel capsizes near northern France, one dead
Paris, The Gulf Observer: At least one person died and dozens were rescued as a migrant boat crossing the Channel capsized, local media reported Saturday.
Five people were in serious condition, the report added.
A rescue operation is now underway near northern France, involving five French ships, one helicopter and two British ships.
The Channel between France and Britain is one of the world’s busiest shipping lanes and currents are strong.
