Milli Majlis Speaker Sahiba Gafarova Attends CIS Inter-Parliamentary Assembly Council Meeting in St. Petersburg

Baku, The Gulf Observer: As part of her working visit to St. Petersburg, Russian Federation, Speaker of the Milli Majlis of Azerbaijan, Sahiba Gafarova, participated in the Council Meeting of the Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (IPA) of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS), Azerbaijani state media reported.

The meeting, held in the historic Tavricheskiy Palace, focused on reviewing the progress made and actions implemented within the framework of the Assembly over the recent period. Participants also discussed a number of organizational matters pertaining to the future activities of the IPA CIS.

During the session, Speaker Sahiba Gafarova delivered remarks in which she shared her perspectives on the issues under consideration, reaffirming Azerbaijan’s commitment to constructive parliamentary cooperation among CIS member states.

The Council Meeting brought together parliamentary leaders and delegates from member countries to promote legislative dialogue and regional collaboration across a range of shared interests.
