Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Tours 17th Edition of Art Dubai
Dubai, The Gulf Observer: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister, and Ruler of Dubai, undertook a tour of the 17th edition of Art Dubai, an esteemed global platform for art and artists from the Middle East and the Global South. The event, taking place at Madinat Jumeirah from March 1 to 3, showcases more than 140 contemporary, modern, and digital gallery presentations from over 60 cities and 40 countries.
In his remarks during the tour, His Highness emphasized the UAE’s commitment to fostering an environment where artists and creative professionals worldwide can thrive. He stated, “Our ethos of tolerance, openness, and inclusiveness, combined with our strong belief that creative expression in all its forms is vital to the progress of civilizations, has led to the creation of a vibrant cultural environment in the country and made it a home for diverse artistic talent.”
Highlighting Dubai’s evolution into a hub for the global creative economy, His Highness commended the efforts led by H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, and Member of the Dubai Council, in accelerating the development of the emirate’s cultural sector. The growth of Art Dubai over the years into a major platform for global art has played a pivotal role in this transformation.
