Morocco Sports Awards 2025 to Spotlight Innovation and Excellence in Sports Industry

Casablanca, The Gulf Observer: The 2025 Morocco Sports Awards will take place on December 19 in Casablanca, honouring the most innovative and impactful figures, companies, projects, and initiatives in the nation’s rapidly growing sports industry.
Organised by the Moroccan Federation of Sports Professionals (Fédération Marocaine des Professionnels du Sport, FMPS), the annual ceremony is set to coincide with the Africa Sports Expo, providing nominees and participants greater visibility before a broad gathering of industry leaders, enterprises, and international stakeholders.
FMPS president Mehdi Sekkouri Alaoui said the event will highlight an industry marked by “growth, dynamism and creativity” while reinforcing Morocco’s ambition to establish itself as a regional hub for sports business and development.
This year’s edition will feature eight award categories: Personality of the Year, Sports Business of the Year, Startup of the Year, Responsible Initiative of the Year, Media Activation of the Year, Event Activation of the Year, Content Creator of the Year, and the Jury’s Choice Award. Winners will be selected by a professional jury.
Submissions remain open until November 14 at 23:59, after which shortlists will be reviewed and final winners announced during the December ceremony.
The 2025 Morocco Sports Awards come at a pivotal moment, as the country prepares to host the Africa Cup of Nations next year. Considerable investment has already been channelled into modernising stadiums and sports infrastructure to align with international standards.
By recognising excellence in media, business, events, and socially responsible initiatives, the awards aim to bolster Morocco’s profile as a leader in African and global sport, celebrating contributions that are shaping the nation’s dynamic sporting landscape.
