Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: In a ceremony held on June 03, 2025, renowned environmental engineer and sustainability advocate Mr. Muhammad Irshad Ramay was conferred with the prestigious Environmental Conservation Award by the Federal Minister, recognizing his outstanding contributions to sustainable development and cleaner production in Pakistan.

With over 20 years of dedicated service in environmental engineering, Mr. Ramay has emerged as a national leader in eco-innovation, championing the implementation of resource-efficient and cleaner production (RECP) technologies across multiple industries. His efforts have not only helped reduce environmental footprints but also fostered greater economic resilience through sustainable industrial practices.

A major highlight of his career was the establishment of a Sustainable Cleaner Production Centre in Pakistan—now regarded as a benchmark for environmental innovation in the region. The centre has played a key role in transforming conventional industrial processes by promoting green technologies, waste minimization, and energy efficiency.

Currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Resource Efficient Cleaner Production – Pakistan (RECP-Pakistan), Mr. Ramay continues to spearhead impactful initiatives focused on sustainability, policy advocacy, and environmental capacity-building.
