Muscat holds GCC Ministerial Council session to review situation in Gaza Strip
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The GCC Ministerial Council’s 43rd extraordinary session, held in Muscat on Tuesday, was dedicated to the situation in Gaza Strip.
The session was chaired by Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Chairman of the current GCC Ministerial Council. It was attended by the GCC Secretary General.
The meeting dealt with current developments in the occupied Palestinian territories, the escalation of violence and the indiscriminate Israeli bombing of residential neighbourhoods in Gaza Strip, which left thousands of civilians dead or injured. It also looked into the immediate challenges facing the region as a result of the escalation.
The GCC Ministerial Council stressed joint determination of member states to provide urgent humanitarian relief to the Palestinian people and ensure the delivery of the aid to the population in Gaza.
