Myanmar Prime Minister Departs Belarus After Eurasian Economic Forum, Arrives in Russia’s Republic of Buryatia

Minsk/Ulan-Ude, The Gulf Observer: Following his participation in the 4th Eurasian Economic Forum (EEF 2025) held in Minsk, Republic of Belarus, Chairman of the State Administration Council and Prime Minister of Myanmar, Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, departed Minsk International Airport on Thursday morning for Ulan-Ude, the capital of the Republic of Buryatia, Russian Federation.
The visit to Buryatia comes at the invitation of Mr. Alexey Sambuevich Tsydenov, Head of the Republic of Buryatia. The Senior General was accompanied by his wife Daw Kyu Kyu Hla and a high-level Myanmar delegation.
The departure ceremony in Minsk was attended by Belarusian Deputy Prime Minister Mr. Yuri Shuleiko, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Sergey Vladimirovich Lukashevich, Myanmar Consul-General to Belarus U Moe Kyaw Thu, and other senior officials.
Upon arrival at Baikal International Airport in Ulan-Ude later that evening, the Myanmar delegation received a warm and traditional welcome from Head of the Republic of Buryatia Mr. Alexey Sambuevich Tsydenov, along with local officials and residents.
The visit marks a continuation of Myanmar’s efforts to strengthen diplomatic and economic ties with the Russian Federation, particularly through engagement with its federal regions.
