Navruz Celebration in “Dilbuloq” Mahalla
Tashkent, The Gulf Observer: This year, the Navruz holiday in the “Dilbuloq” mahalla of Yakkasaray district in Tashkent is marked by a spirit of rejuvenation and development. Through a public-private partnership, a modern citizens’ assembly building has been constructed, setting the tone for a festive atmosphere and a sense of community pride.
In a concerted effort to enhance the living environment, repairs have been made to the entrances of multi-storey buildings, internal streets, and basements. The revitalization extends to the canal bank, which has been meticulously cleaned and transformed into a picturesque walking area adorned with flower beds, trees, and well-maintained pathways, lending the mahalla a distinctive charm.
As part of the nationwide “Yashil Makon” (Green Space) initiative, nearly 4 thousand trees and shrubs were planted last fall, contributing to the aesthetic appeal and environmental sustainability of the mahalla. Presently, basil and hesperis are being cultivated in front of apartment buildings, adding to the greenery and beauty of the surroundings.
With a population exceeding 6.7 thousand residents, “Dilbuloq” mahalla is known for its specialization in services and production. It hosts approximately 300 trade and service points along with industrial facilities that provide employment opportunities for local youth and women. Essential community amenities including a preschool education institution, a family clinic, a specialized sports school, and a branch of the pedagogical institute further enhance the quality of life for residents.
