OCCI Strengthens Economic Ties with Indonesia at 39th Trade Expo, Signs Key MoU

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: The Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) participated in the 39th Trade Expo Indonesia (TEI) 2024, which commenced today in Jakarta. The international exhibition serves as a prominent platform for companies and investors from across the globe to foster trade relations and explore new avenues for cooperation.

Leading the Omani delegation was Eng. Hamoud Salim Al Saadi, Second Deputy Chairman of OCCI Board of Directors. The Sultanate’s presence was further strengthened by the participation of Sheikh Mohammed Ahmed Al Shanfari, Oman’s Ambassador to Indonesia, and 26 members of the OCCI Board of Directors and heads of various departments.

During the expo, the OCCI held significant discussions with its Indonesian counterpart, focusing on promoting economic and commercial cooperation between Oman and Indonesia. The talks also explored potential investment opportunities across various sectors, aiming to deepen the trade ties between the two nations.

One of the key outcomes of Oman’s participation in the TEI was the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the OCCI and the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The MoU aims to consolidate economic relations and facilitate the exchange of expertise in multiple fields, further enhancing collaboration between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Indonesia.
