Oman Climbs 18 Places in World Press Freedom Index 2024

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman has made significant strides in press freedom, ascending 18 places in the Annual World Press Freedom Index 2024, as reported by the esteemed organization “Reporters Without Borders.”
With the latest ranking, Oman secured the 137th position globally in this year’s index, amassing a score of 42.52 points, in contrast to 37.87 points recorded the previous year.
