Oman Concludes Successful Participation in Frankfurt International Book Fair 2025

Frankfurt, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman successfully concluded its participation in the Frankfurt International Book Fair 2025, held in the Federal Republic of Germany from 15 to 19 October, where its pavilion drew considerable attention and acclaim from international visitors and cultural figures.
Oman’s pavilion served as a gateway to the nation’s rich cultural and intellectual heritage, showcasing a diverse range of publications, literary works, and cultural materials that reflect the depth of Omani civilization and its contributions to Arab and global culture. The exhibits particularly focused on heritage, literature, social life, and intellectual achievements, offering visitors an authentic glimpse into the Omani identity.
Renowned Palestinian poet and classical Arabic literature researcher Dr. Iyas Nasser lauded the breadth and quality of Omani publications, describing them as “precious literary and intellectual works that enrich Arab libraries and cultural thought.”
Emmanuel Bouvard, a French editor and publisher, highlighted Oman’s distinctiveness, noting that the country’s ability to preserve its ancient roots and authentic traditions makes it stand out. He added that the Omani people’s warmth and hospitality make any visit to the Sultanate a truly unique experience.
Lisa Marshall, an employee at the International Court of Justice, remarked that everyone she knows who has visited Oman spoke highly of its cultural diversity and the positive impression their visits left. She expressed enthusiasm for Omani literary works, believing they would help broaden her intellectual horizons.
Dr. Ulysses Lagrimas, an American writer, shared that his visit to the Omani pavilion left a lasting impact, praising both the depth of Omani culture and the gracious hospitality of the Omani people. He expressed a strong desire to visit Oman to explore its social and cultural life firsthand.
This year’s participation also featured an introduction to the “Ayn” digital platform for audiobooks, e-content, and visual books — underscoring Oman’s commitment to embracing innovation in cultural presentation while preserving its heritage and identity.
The pavilion highlighted an extensive collection of Omani publications covering diverse fields, including history, literature, science, media, tourism, social studies, wildlife, and the environment, as well as specialized books on historical landmarks and adventure tourism in Oman.
Oman’s participation at the Frankfurt International Book Fair reaffirmed its dedication to cultural diplomacy, reflecting the Sultanate’s belief in the power of culture to foster mutual understanding, awareness, and global dialogue.
