Oman Hosts Delegation from Zimbabwe National Defence University

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Maj. Gen. Hamid Ahmed Sakroon, Chairman of the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies, received a delegation from the Zimbabwe National Defence University at Bait Al Falaj Garrison. The delegation was led by Brigadier Francis Chakawia.

During the meeting, both sides discussed several matters of mutual interest, focusing on academic and training fields. The meeting was attended by Air Commodore Abdullah Faiz Al Dhafri, Director General for Administrative and Financial Affairs, along with several senior officers from the Academy for Strategic and Defence Studies.

The Zimbabwean delegation also visited the Joint Command and Staff College, where they were welcomed by the Acting Commandant. The guests attended a presentation on the college’s curricula and training programs, followed by a tour of its facilities and departments.

Furthermore, the delegation visited the National Defence College (NDC), where they were received by Rear Admiral Ali Abdullah Al Shidi, Commandant of the NDC. During this visit, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest, and the delegation was briefed on the NDC’s various facilities and programs before touring its departments.

These visits underscore the strong bilateral relations between Oman and Zimbabwe, particularly in the areas of defense and strategic studies.
