Oman Participates in 16th Gulf Radio and Television Festival in Bahrain

Manama, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman, represented by the Ministry of Information, is participating in the 16th edition of the Gulf Radio and Television Festival, held in Manama, Bahrain, from May 28 to 30, 2024. The festival, under the slogan “Our Media, Our Identity,” is organized by the Bahraini Ministry of Information in collaboration with Gulf Radio and Television.
Ibrahim Saif Al Azri, Director-General and Editor-in-Chief of Oman News Agency (ONA), heads the delegation from the Ministry of Information at the festival. Al Azri emphasized that Oman’s participation underscores the nation’s commitment to engaging actively in GCC media events.
Describing the festival as a significant forum, Al Azri highlighted its role as an annual gathering that unites media institutions from GCC states. “The event constitutes a podium where media personnel and agencies from member states showcase their innovative radio and TV content,” he noted.
Oman’s Ministry of Information will present its work in a pavilion within the “radio and TV production market” section of the festival. The pavilion will feature dashboards and screens displaying a variety of media content produced by the Ministry.
The 2024 Radio and Television Festival includes a competition involving teams from both the Ministry of Information and private media establishments in Oman, further showcasing the country’s media prowess and collaborative spirit within the GCC region.
