Oman Participates in 4th GCC Ministerial Cybersecurity Meeting in Kuwait

Kuwait, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman on Monday participated in the 4th meeting of the GCC Ministerial Committee of Cybersecurity Authorities and Centres, hosted in Kuwait.
Oman’s delegation was headed by Dr. Saleh Amir Al Kharousi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the State of Kuwait.
The meeting reviewed key issues related to the GCC cybersecurity system and the executive plans of action, with discussions focused on strengthening cooperation among member states in the field of cybersecurity. Participants also examined joint initiatives aimed at enhancing digital protection, addressing emerging cyber threats, and developing regional digital infrastructure.
Among the major outcomes, the meeting approved the executive plan of the GCC Cybersecurity Strategy (2024–2028), endorsed a framework for international cooperation in cybersecurity, and established a mechanism for the governance of information exchange through the “Cyber Threat Information Sharing” platform.
In addition, the session marked the official launch of the GCC Cybersecurity Podcast and endorsed the minutes of the 4th meeting of the Cybersecurity Executive Committee.
