Oman Participates in Basel Tattoo Military Music Show 2025
Basel, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman is proudly participating in the Basel Tattoo Military Music Show 2025, one of the world’s premier military music festivals, taking place in Basel, Switzerland, from 7 to 21 July 2025.
Representing Oman at the prestigious event is the Royal Guard of Oman’s band, which will present a series of musical formations and performances highlighting the nation’s rich military music traditions and cultural heritage. The band’s participation underscores Oman’s commitment to cultural diplomacy and international military cooperation through music.
Established in 2006 and organized by the Swiss Ministry of Defense, the Basel Tattoo is the second-largest military music festival in the world, following the renowned Edinburgh Military Tattoo. Each year, it brings together elite military bands, musicians, and performance teams from across the globe.
The 2025 edition features musical ensembles from various countries, attracting an estimated 130,000 visitors annually. With its grand displays, synchronized performances, and cross-cultural musical collaborations, the festival has become a major highlight in the international cultural calendar.
