Brunei, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman is participating in the Brunei Darussalam Book Fair 2025, underscoring its commitment to strengthening bilateral relations and enhancing its cultural presence on the international stage.

Oman’s participation aligns with the National Cultural Strategy, which seeks to highlight the country’s intellectual contributions, promote Omani authors and publishers, reinforce national cultural identity, and expand the distribution of Omani publications in educational institutions across East Asia.

The fair was inaugurated by Dato Seri Setia Haji Awang Nazmi bin Haji Awang Mohamad, Brunei’s Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, who visited Oman’s pavilion and commended the quality and diversity of the exhibits.

Oman’s pavilion drew strong interest from visitors, featuring recent publications from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Youth, as well as contributions from government bodies and civil society organizations. The display also included tourism materials, cultural information, and exhibits showcasing Oman’s rich heritage and natural attractions.
