Oman to Host First International Conference on Business Sustainability and Investment Enhancement in Muscat

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman is set to host its first international conference on business sustainability and enhancing the investment system, commencing Monday at the campus of the University of Technology and Applied Sciences in Muscat.
Organised in partnership with the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, the two-day conference aims to provide a comprehensive scientific and professional platform, bringing together decision-makers, industry leaders, academics, researchers, and investors from across the region and beyond.
The conference will focus on critical themes such as business sustainability, innovation, and the enhancement of Oman’s investment climate. It aligns with the Sultanate’s broader national agenda to strengthen its position as a competitive and sustainable investment destination, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040.
Key topics on the agenda include foreign direct investment, public-private partnerships, regulatory reforms, innovation, and long-term economic sustainability. These discussions are expected to generate actionable insights to support the continued development of Oman’s investment ecosystem.
Dr. Khalid bin Salem Al-Abri, Assistant President of the university, stated that the conference is designed to foster dialogue, facilitate knowledge exchange, and build strategic partnerships among stakeholders. He emphasized that the event will contribute to generating innovative ideas and practical recommendations to enhance the Sultanate’s economic landscape.
He further noted that hosting the conference reflects the university’s commitment to its academic and societal role in advancing economic development and strengthening collaboration between educational institutions and both public and private sectors.
