Al Busaidi added that organizing the Festival reflects the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to develop the creative industries sector and empower youth to play an active role in advancing a Gulf cinema industry that reflects the realities and aspirations of Gulf societies.

The Festival will present nine main awards to recognize outstanding achievements in the following categories: Best Feature Film, Best Documentary Film, Best Short Film, Best Original Score, Best Actor, Best Actress, Best Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Cinematography.
