Oman, Ukraine Discuss Bilateral Ties and Regional Stability in Muscat Meeting

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Oman’s Foreign Minister Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi received Rustem Umerov, Secretary of the National Security Council of Ukraine, for talks focused on strengthening bilateral relations and addressing regional developments.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed the longstanding relations of friendship between Oman and Ukraine and explored avenues to enhance cooperation across various sectors. Discussions also highlighted opportunities to further develop the partnership in ways that serve mutual interests and deliver shared benefits.
On regional and international developments, the two officials reaffirmed their countries’ commitment to supporting de-escalation policies, reducing tensions, and promoting dialogue as a means to achieve sustainable peace. They emphasized the importance of pursuing consensual and peaceful solutions to ongoing challenges through diplomatic engagement among the concerned parties.
The meeting was attended by Munther Mahfoudh Al Manthri, Head of the Europe Department at Oman’s Foreign Ministry, and Olha Selykh, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Sultanate of Oman, along with other officials from both sides.
The discussions underscored the shared commitment of Oman and Ukraine to strengthening bilateral ties while contributing to regional and global stability through constructive dialogue and cooperation.
