Oman Urges Global Action Over Israeli Aggression on Iran

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman is actively engaged in ongoing diplomatic consultations and communications regarding the brutal Israeli military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and its grave implications for regional security, according to an official statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Minister of Foreign Affairs, has been in close contact with his counterparts from brotherly and friendly nations to address the escalating crisis and explore possible avenues to contain its fallout.

In the official statement issued Sunday, the Ministry noted:

“Ongoing consultations and communications are taking place between His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi and a number of his counterparts from brotherly and friendly countries regarding the brutal Israeli military aggression against the Islamic Republic of Iran and its serious security repercussions on the regional scene.”

His Excellency emphasized the urgency of intensifying international diplomatic and political pressure to halt the illegal and irresponsible aggression, and called for the application of international law to restore peace, security, and stability to the region.

In a related development, the Foreign Minister reaffirmed the Ministry’s ongoing efforts to ensure the safe return of Omani citizens currently in affected areas. The Ministry is working around the clock to facilitate their departure and ensure their well-being.

The statement further added that the Ministry has allocated direct contact lines in both Muscat and Tehran, organized according to the geographical distribution of citizens. Additionally, citizens can communicate with the Ministry through its official mobile application and WhatsApp services, ensuring multiple channels of assistance are available.

The Sultanate continues to follow developments closely and remains committed to supporting diplomatic efforts aimed at de-escalation and the protection of civilians across the region.
