Oman, US organize first strategic dialogue
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The Sultanate of Oman and the US – United States of America announced the organization of the first strategic dialogue.
“The Sultanate of Oman and the United States of America announce the organisation of the work of the first strategic dialogue, which includes three working groups focusing on education, cultural exchange, trade, investment and renewable energy. These groups intend to hold their meetings regularly and produce tangible results to achieve common goals,” Oman News Agency (ONA), said in a statement.
During their meeting in Washington, His Excellency Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister and his American counterpart affirm the growing historical and strategic partnership between the Sultanate of Oman and the United States on regional security.
His Excellency Antony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, expresses his country’s thanks to Oman for the important role it has played in securing the armistice in Yemen over the past months and for its unwavering support in humanitarian issues, including its role in securing the freedom of American citizen Baqir Namazi.
His Excellency the Foreign Minister and American counterpart stress that the Free Trade Agreement between the Sultanate of Oman and the United States of 2009 is a basis for expanding trade opportunities
