Oman's Education Ministry announces beneficiaries of student welfare initiative

Muscat, The Gulf Observer: The initiative to provide school bags and food for school students from social security and low income families will include those whose income is less than OMR 400 per month.

The Ministry of Education said in a statement published through its official account on Twitter: “The committee formed between the Ministries of Education and Social Development to implement the initiative to provide school bags and nutrition for school students from social security and limited income families held a meeting on Thursday at the Ministry of Education’s general office and directed to start enumerating the students of public schools who benefit from the sublime honour.”

The ministry explained that the inventory process will be carried out according to a number of guidelines, the most important of which are: those with limited income are approved whose monthly income does not exceed OMR 400 per month.

Supporting documents are required for each case, and can be sent via the school’s official email. The inventory process will take five days, from September 4 to 8, 2022.
