This significant event is expected to draw the participation of key officials from the investment and tourism sectors, representatives of travel and tourism companies, stakeholders in desert reserves, and entrepreneurs engaged in projects related to the desert winter season. The forum aims to foster collaboration and discussions, paving the way for innovative approaches in advancing desert tourism in Oman.
The upcoming ‘Oman Desert Tourism Forum’ holds a dual purpose – to celebrate the diverse atmosphere and tourist attractions of the governorate while encouraging private sector institutions to play an active role in organizing events that spotlight these distinctive components. According to Salah Salim al Hajri, Chairman of the Tourism Committee at the OCCI’s North Sharqiyah branch, shedding light on investment and economic activities in the desert tourism sector is of paramount importance.
The forum aims to address and promote various aspects, including the regulations governing the sector, investment opportunities for both local and foreign investors, the cultural and social dimensions of desert tourism, and drawing insights from Gulf experiences in this realm. This initiative seeks to foster awareness, collaboration, and exploration of the rich potential within the desert tourism sector in the governorate.
