Oman’s Tourism ministry hosts former football players in Dhofar
Muscat, The Gulf Observer: Oman’s Ministry of Heritage and Tourism, in cooperation with a number of partners, is hosting a group of football players from the Kingdom of the Netherlands as part of its promotional efforts for the Dhofar Governorate’s winter tourism season.
An exhibition match of “Soccer-Golf” was held on the golf course at the Crowne Plaza Resort – Salalah for a number of retired international football players from the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
The Ministry of Heritage and Tourism said: “This is part of the visit program organised by the Ministry of Heritage and Tourism and the Dhofar Municipality for the players.”
In addition, the players’ visit program included a tour to a number of heritage, tourist and historical sites that characterise the Dhofar Governorate.
Moreover, to intensify promotional efforts for the winter tourism season in Dhofar Governorate, a number of representatives of tourism offices in the Republic of India arrived in the governorate to visit a number of the most important sites, destinations and tourism products with the aim of promoting Dhofar Governorate as a sustainable tourist destination.
