Otr Elkalam: British contestant Asad youngest and most gifted talent in toning Adhan

Riyadh, The Gulf Observer: Although the British contestant Ibrahim Asad is only 12 years old and the youngest contestant in the Otr Elkalam competition, he performs the adhan impressively and with perfection, outperforming his rivals in some aspects.

The jury praised Asad’s talents, which enabled him to compete with the best international talents in the adhan track and achieve fourth place in the finals of the Otr Elkalam show, one of the initiatives of the General Entertainment Authority.

The boy, who mastered the maqamat (musical structures) and used them efficiently in raising the adhan, has competed with older and more experienced rivals. His talent, which is based on relentless training, made him the focus of attention and earned him a highly competitive ability that improved from episode to episode.

Asad’s identity was influenced by many factors including his British nationality, his birthplace (Riyadh), and his residence in Madinah. His talent was formed and improved, moving between the roles of the muezzin and the reciter, weaving from his vocal cords what amazes, delights and captivates the hearts of listeners.

Since the age of three, Asad dared to raise adhan, and with family care for his talent, the quality of his adhan improved until he emulated the most famous muezzins in the Two Holy Mosques. With his brother’s support and motivation, Asad clung to the dream of prominence at the level of major competitions, until he was crowned in the Little Muezzin competition in Madinah.

Yet, Asad carried a bigger dream within him. Ever since one of the muezzins of the Prophet’s Mosque praised him and said that his vocal performance qualifies him to raise adhan in the largest and best mosques, he has made it his wish that he aspires to fulfill one day when his age and circumstances allow him to do so.

Asad combined his talent in raising adhan with his hobby for all forms of vocal performance, hoping that one day he would establish special studios that enable him to follow the path of his idols of famous reciters, looking forward to a future in which he fulfills his wishes and aspirations that are growing every day.
