Pakistan has a lot to offer to Chinese tourists: Moin ul Haque

Beijing, The Gulf Observer: Pakistan and China have a long friendly relationship, improving people-to-people contacts and focusing on cultural & tourism cooperation between the two countries a Chinese company organized a one-day sport event to celebrate Pakistan-China Year of Tourism.

The cricket event was held at Cricket field of Dulwich College Beijing, titled “Beijing Big Hitters – Cricket Tournament.” It restricted to eight teams which included teams from the Embassy of Pakistan, Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB), Batie United, Khyber Stallions, Gilgit Baltistan (GB) Warriors, Gwadar – Song of the Sea Wind, Beijing Indians and Sri Lanka Lions.  

The Cricket tournament was followed by an award ceremony in which Pakistan ambassador to China Moin ul Haque was invited as the special guests of the event.

The ambassador appreciated the interest of the Chinese companies for organizing the event, while speaking to the audience at the prize distribution ceremony, Ambassador highlighted that cricket is the second-most popular sport in the world and such activities are not only increase people-to-people contact but also helping Cricket promotion in China. Highlighting the recently launched website by the Embassy of Pakistan (http://www.discoverbatie.org).

Ambassador said that Pakistan has a lot to offer for Chinese tourists, he said that the wild mountains, lush green meadows, exquisite valleys, beautiful tracks for trekking, sites for adventurous sports and a number of ancient archeological places and other attractions in the South Asian country are waiting to mesmerize the Chinese tourists.

Adds cricket is the second-most popular sport in the world and such activities not only increase people-to-people contacts but also helping Cricket promotion in China

President of Chinese company Dong Fang Yi congratulated the team of Gilgit Baltistan for winning the tournament and spoke on the relationship between tourism and cricket, that tourism connects the people and so as the game of cricket in South Asia.

He highlighted that holding the Pakistan-China Year of Tourism Exchanges in 2023 will greatly help improve people-to-people contacts and especially promote tourism cooperation between China and Pakistan.

Bilal Ahmed told that Pakistan and China have a long friendly relationship and people would love to meet each other and experience the countries of each other. Pakistan is not just looking at inviting Chinese tourists to Pakistan, but also looking for Pakistani tourists to China. That’s why both governments declared the year 2023 as Pakistan-China Year of Tourism.

He added that the number of stalls were also set up to promote traditional Chinese and Pakistani cuisines and handicrafts among the community.
