Pakistan, Iran Reaffirm Commitment to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Pakistan and Iran on Tuesday reaffirmed their resolve to deepen bilateral relations across multiple sectors and enhance cooperation on regional and international issues of shared interest.
The commitment was made during a meeting between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Secretary of Iran’s Supreme National Security Council Dr. Ali Larijani at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Islamabad.
Dr. Larijani arrived in Islamabad on Monday night for an official visit. According to Iran’s official news agency IRNA, he is scheduled to meet with Pakistan’s top leadership to review developments in bilateral ties, follow up on joint agreements, and discuss key regional and global matters, including issues of significance to the Islamic world.
Speaking to reporters upon his arrival, Larijani emphasized Pakistan’s crucial role in regional stability, noting that strengthened cooperation between Tehran and Islamabad across various sectors would contribute to “calm and peace in the region.”
Before departing for Pakistan, Larijani posted a message in Urdu on his X account, describing Pakistan as “a friendly and brotherly country.” He recalled that the Iranian people “would never forget” the support extended by Pakistan during the 12-day war imposed on Iran in mid-June.
He added that as two significant and influential countries, Iran and Pakistan consistently place high priority on ensuring peace and security in the region.
Both sides expressed confidence that ongoing engagements and high-level exchanges would further solidify the longstanding partnership between the two neighboring nations.
