Pakistan Secures Test Series Victory with Dominant Win Over England
Rawalpindi, The Gulf Observer: In a remarkable display of spin bowling and teamwork, Pakistan claimed a memorable victory against England on Saturday, clinching the three-match Test series in style.
With a first-innings lead of 77 on a spin-friendly track, Pakistan was in command as the third Test progressed. Noman Ali and Sajid Khan, Pakistan’s star spinners, capitalized on the conditions, taking all ten wickets in England’s second innings. Noman’s brilliant figures of 6-42 and Sajid’s 4-69 bundled out England for a mere 112, leaving Pakistan with only 36 runs to win.
Despite the early loss of opener Saim Ayub, Pakistan chased down the target within 3.1 overs, with skipper Shan Masood’s unbeaten 23 sealing the victory. Masood reflected on the achievement with pride, saying, “Like London buses, they come together. The first win came after a long time, and it was backed up by a series win. It’s special.”
England’s top scorer, Joe Root, managed only 33 runs in an otherwise dismal innings. Noman and Sajid, who took 19 of the 20 England wickets, underscored the spin-friendly nature of the pitch, rendering Pakistan’s seamer Aamir Jamal unnecessary.
Sajid Khan, with a 10-wicket haul across the match, was named Player of the Series. He and Noman took 39 of England’s 40 wickets in the last two Tests, marking a dominant series performance for Pakistan’s spin duo.
