Pakistan, Türkiye Call for Immediate Ceasefire and Unimpeded Humanitarian Aid in Gaza

Pakistan

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Pakistan and Türkiye on Monday reaffirmed their shared commitment to urgent humanitarian relief in Gaza, calling for an immediate ceasefire and coordinated international efforts to achieve a just, lasting, and comprehensive peace in the region.

The matter was discussed during a telephone conversation between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan.

The two leaders strongly condemned the continued Israeli aggression in Gaza and voiced grave concern over the escalating humanitarian catastrophe, marked by widespread starvation, forced displacement, and the loss of innocent lives.

Expressing steadfast solidarity with the Palestinian people and their legitimate cause, both sides underscored the importance of ensuring unimpeded delivery of humanitarian assistance and upholding international law and human rights.

They also expressed hope for meaningful progress from the High-Level International Conference on the Implementation of the Two-State Solution, which commenced on Monday at the United Nations Headquarters in New York. The conference, co-chaired by France and Saudi Arabia, seeks to revive global momentum for the establishment of an independent and viable Palestinian state, living side by side with Israel in peace and security.

Both Pakistan and Türkiye reiterated their continued advocacy for a peaceful resolution to the conflict and the full realization of the rights of the Palestinian people.
