Pakistan, Uzbekistan Review Regional Developments, Agree to Maintain Close Coordination

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar on Thursday held a telephone conversation with Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov, during which both sides reviewed recent regional developments and reaffirmed their commitment to close coordination on matters of mutual interest.

According to an official statement, the two leaders exchanged views on the evolving regional situation and emphasized the importance of sustained diplomatic engagement to promote peace and stability.

During the call, Foreign Minister Saidov commended Pakistan’s constructive role in advancing regional peace, stability, and de-escalation efforts. He also appreciated Pakistan’s hosting of a recent meeting of four foreign ministers in Islamabad, terming it a positive step toward fostering dialogue and cooperation.

The Uzbek foreign minister further expressed support for the Pakistan-China Five-Point Initiative aimed at promoting peace and stability in the Gulf and the wider Middle East region.

Both sides agreed to remain in close contact and continue consultations to strengthen bilateral relations and coordinate on regional and international issues of shared concern.
