Pakistan Will Respond Swiftly to Any Indian Ceasefire Violation: DG ISPR

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Director General of Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Lieutenant General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry, has issued a firm warning to India, stating that any violation of the ceasefire along the Line of Control (LoC) would be met with a swift and assured response from Pakistan.
In an interview with Sky News, Lieutenant General Chaudhry emphasized that any threat to Pakistan’s sovereignty, security, or territorial integrity would be confronted decisively. He further highlighted the potential risks associated with escalating tensions, underscoring the fact that both Pakistan and India are nuclear-armed nations, and any serious escalation could have catastrophic consequences.
“It would be detrimental for the entire region if India believes it could wage a war on Pakistan,” said the DG ISPR, stressing the gravity of the situation.
The senior military official also pointed out that the United States and other international powers are increasingly aware of India’s provocative actions, particularly in the context of nuclear threats.
Referring to the ongoing Kashmir dispute, Lieutenant General Chaudhry condemned India’s actions in Kashmir, accusing the Indian government of deploying heavy military forces in the region and attempting to label the issue as an internal matter. He reiterated that the Kashmir issue must be resolved in accordance with United Nations Security Council (UNSC) resolutions, with the Kashmiri people having the right to determine their own future.
The remarks reflect Pakistan’s ongoing commitment to defending its territorial integrity and ensuring peace and stability in the region.
