Pakistani Literary Brilliance Illuminates Minsk International Book Fair Through Unveiling of Exclusive Titles
Minsk, The Gulf Observer: On the second day of the Minsk International Book Fair, the Embassy of Pakistan captivated literary enthusiasts with a special book launching ceremony, drawing an esteemed gathering of over 50 guests. Highlighting the event was the presentation of two significant publications: “Colours of Pakistan,” a bilingual coffee table book in English and Russian, and “Faiz’s Flame” by the acclaimed Russian writer Vladimir Lesovoy.
The Ambassador also distributed certificates of appreciation to several members of Belarusian Union of Writers for the contributions in strengthening Pakistan Belarus literary cooperation.
The Ambassador of Pakistan to Belarus Sajjad Haider Khan led the ceremony, presenting “Colours of Pakistan” to attendees, a book that weaves the rich tapestry of Pakistan’s heritage, culture, and natural beauty. Likewise, Vladimir Lesovoy offered a deep dive into “Faiz’s Flame,” shedding light on the life and poetry of Faiz Ahmed Faiz, a luminary in Urdu literary circles.
Earlier on, the Belarusian Minister of Information and the Acting Foreign Minister visited the Pakistan Pavilion. In a gesture of goodwill and cultural exchange, the Ambassador presented them with copies of the launched books, symbolizing the deep-rooted connections and mutual respect between the nations.
This book launching ceremony not only highlighted the literary contributions of Pakistan and its cultural richness but also fostered a spirit of international friendship and understanding. Twenty countries including Pakistan participated in this year’s book fair.
