Palestinian Minister Thanks Morocco for Emergency Humanitarian Aid to Gaza Amid Deepening Crisis

Rabat, The Gulf Observer: Palestinian Minister of Social Development, Samah Hamad, has extended her “heartfelt thanks” to His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco following the dispatch of emergency humanitarian and medical aid to the besieged Gaza Strip, where the population continues to suffer from severe famine and critical shortages.
The humanitarian initiative, personally ordered by King Mohammed VI, aims to address the most pressing needs of Palestinians, particularly in Gaza, where Israeli military actions have led to what many describe as genocide-level destruction and starvation.
Speaking to Morocco’s official news agency (MAP), Minister Hamad commended the King’s consistent humanitarian efforts and firm support for the Palestinian cause. “We express our heartfelt thanks to His Majesty the King for all his humanitarian initiatives,” she said, emphasizing that the aid reflects Morocco’s longstanding solidarity under the King’s leadership as Chair of the Al-Quds Committee.
Hamad described the situation in Gaza as “extremely difficult,” citing widespread famine, particularly among children, caused by Israeli-imposed blockades and bombardment. “Morocco’s aid is extremely important,” she said, noting it would provide vital relief in the form of food and medical supplies at a time when Gazans are facing catastrophic living conditions.
The minister stressed that the Moroccan aid delivery would help alleviate acute shortages in life-saving resources and contribute to easing the suffering of the civilian population trapped under siege.
In addition, Hamad praised the role of the Bayt Mal Al-Quds Agency, an institution operating under the Al-Quds Committee, for its continuous work in supporting Jerusalem’s residents and vulnerable populations. She revealed that her ministry has recently signed a partnership agreement with the Agency to provide care for children orphaned or maimed during the Israeli aggression on Gaza.
The program, she explained, also includes essential psychological support services to help rehabilitate young victims affected by the war.
The humanitarian assistance, coordinated under the direct supervision of King Mohammed VI, reaffirms Morocco’s unwavering support for the Palestinian people during one of the most severe humanitarian crises in Gaza’s history.
