PM Shehbaz Expresses Solidarity with Malaysia over Cyclone-Induced Floods

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif on Friday held a telephonic conversation with Malaysian Prime Minister Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim to express solidarity with Malaysia following the devastating cyclone-induced floods.

According to a statement issued by the Prime Minister’s Office, Shehbaz Sharif conveyed heartfelt condolences—on behalf of the government and people of Pakistan, as well as his own—over the loss of precious lives and widespread destruction caused by heavy rainfall, floods, and landslides triggered by the recent cyclone.

The prime minister offered prayers for the departed souls and wished a swift recovery for the injured and displaced. He reaffirmed Pakistan’s unwavering solidarity with the Malaysian people during this difficult time.

Prime Minister Shehbaz also offered Pakistan’s full support for relief and rescue efforts, expressing readiness to provide any assistance required to help Malaysia address the impacts of the natural disaster.

Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim thanked his Pakistani counterpart for the thoughtful and compassionate call, noting that the gesture reflected the close, brotherly relations between Pakistan and Malaysia.
