PM Shehbaz Receives US Invitation to Join Board of Peace on Gaza
Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif has received an invitation from United States President Donald Trump to join the Board of Peace on Gaza, the Foreign Office said on Sunday.
Responding to media queries, Foreign Office Spokesperson Tahir Andrabi confirmed the development in a press statement, noting Pakistan’s continued commitment to international peace efforts concerning Gaza.
“Pakistan will remain engaged with international efforts for peace and security in Gaza, leading to a lasting solution to the Palestine issue in accordance with United Nations resolutions,” the spokesperson said.
The statement reaffirmed Pakistan’s longstanding position in support of a peaceful and durable resolution to the Palestinian issue through diplomatic means and in line with international law.
