PM Shehbaz Sharif Reaffirms Pakistan’s Support for Azerbaijan in Call with President Ilham Aliyev

Islamabad, The Gulf Observer: Prime Minister of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephone conversation with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev on March 6, reaffirming the strong brotherly ties between the two countries and expressing solidarity amid recent regional developments.

During the call, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned Iran’s military attack and what he described as terrorist acts against Azerbaijan. He stressed that in these challenging times the state and armed forces of Pakistan stand firmly with the state and army of Azerbaijan.

The prime minister said Azerbaijan could always rely on Pakistan’s support and emphasized that the enduring friendship and brotherhood between the two nations would continue to grow stronger.

President Ilham Aliyev expressed gratitude for Pakistan’s support and solidarity. He stated that Azerbaijan would always defend the just cause of brotherly Pakistan and noted that Islamabad’s strong condemnation of the incident once again reflects the deep-rooted friendship between the two countries.

Both leaders reiterated that Pakistan and Azerbaijan stand by each other in both good and difficult times, emphasizing their readiness to continue extending mutual support and cooperation.
