Political Stability and Security Key to Achieving President Prabowo Subianto’s Vision for Indonesia

Political Stability and Security

Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: Political stability and security are vital for realizing President Prabowo Subianto’s vision for Indonesia, according to Chudry Sitompul, a law expert from the University of Indonesia (UI).

In a statement on Friday, Sitompul emphasized the necessity of maintaining stability and security amid various global challenges, including climate change, food crises, and an increasingly complex geopolitical environment.

“With strong political stability and security, the government’s agenda can be successfully implemented,” he asserted.

Sitompul highlighted that Indonesia is on the right track to becoming a sovereign and advanced nation, aiming for the “Golden Indonesia 2045” vision. He underscored the importance of strengthening the Armed Forces (TNI), the National Police (Polri), and enhancing diplomatic strategies to achieve this goal.

He noted that the government’s initiatives to improve coordination among strategic institutions to ensure national security are well aligned with national objectives.

In this context, Sitompul pointed out that the nation’s political and security affairs are managed by Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs, Budi Gunawan.

“Separating legal affairs from political and security matters allows the Coordinating Ministry for Political and Security Affairs to focus on maintaining national stability and order,” Sitompul stated.

He further elaborated that the ministry plays a crucial role in overseeing strategic policies under Prabowo’s leadership, which includes strengthening the TNI and Polri and modernizing defense equipment.

The ministry should also prioritize managing strategic diplomacy and addressing key issues such as bureaucratic reform and enhancing cybersecurity.

Sitompul concluded by mentioning that Prabowo has highlighted the importance of effective political and bureaucratic reforms, as outlined in the government’s eight key missions known as Asta Cita.
