Jakarta, The Gulf Observer: President of the Republic of Indonesia, Prabowo Subianto, on Wednesday morning presided over the Prasetya Perwira (Oath of Officers) ceremony at the courtyard of the Merdeka Palace in Jakarta, officially inaugurating 2,000 young officers from the nation’s military and police academies.

The newly commissioned officers comprise 827 graduates of the Indonesian Army (TNI-AD), 433 from the Indonesian Navy (TNI-AL), 293 from the Indonesian Air Force (TNI-AU), and 447 from the Indonesian National Police (Polri).

In recognition of academic excellence and leadership, President Prabowo conferred the prestigious Adhi Makayasa award on eight distinguished graduates—two from each branch. The awardees were:

  • TNI-AD: Alim Bimo Pratowo and Muh. Afridzal Muhlis
  • TNI-AL: Manenda Putra Duta and Arya Handaru
  • TNI-AU: Evan Basith Reswara and Axel Fahreza Adiatma
  • Polri: Muh. Malik Aditya K. and Fathan Putra Rifito

Following the oath-taking, President Prabowo delivered remarks and directives to the newly appointed officers, emphasizing their duty to uphold national integrity, discipline, and service to the people.

The president was accompanied by Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, along with several cabinet ministers, senior military commanders, and top-ranking police officials. After the ceremony, President Prabowo held a formal photo session inside the Merdeka Palace with the Adhi Makayasa honorees, followed by group photos with newly commissioned officers from each service.

The event concluded with a symbolic and emotional tribute as the officers recited their institutional cadences in unison—beginning with the Army, followed by the Navy, Air Force, and Police—prompting the president to rise, stand at attention, and salute the officers in a gesture of deep respect.

The ceremony ended with a heartfelt reunion between the graduates and their families, many of whom were visibly emotional as they celebrated the culmination of years of training and dedication.
