Preparations Underway for Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ 64th Anniversary Celebration at Muara Naval Base

Muara, The Gulf Observer: Preparations are in full swing for the 64th Anniversary Celebration of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), scheduled to take place on Saturday, May 31, at the Muara Naval Base.
In anticipation of the significant event, a media conference was held on Wednesday at the Dewan Nahkoda, Naval Training Centre, to brief the public and media representatives on the scheduled programs and logistical arrangements. A comprehensive media walkthrough session was also conducted to ensure smooth coverage on the event day, providing participating media outlets with a clear overview of the layout and flow of activities.
The conference was attended by senior officials of the RBAF and the organizing committee, including Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Navy, Captain Khairil Haji Abdul Rahman, who also serves as Chairman of the RBAF 64th Anniversary Celebration, Commander Mohd Zouhdy bin Haji Abd Razak, Chief Secretariat, as well as other key coordinators responsible for security, exhibitions, and arena performances.
During the briefing, Spokesperson at the Ministry of Defence, Lieutenant Colonel (U) Hasnul Alwe bin Haji Matassan, outlined the main components of the celebration. These include the highly anticipated Grand Parade, Arena Performances, Static Displays, and a Career Exhibition. The event will also feature bazaars and a variety of family-friendly activities. In addition, shuttle bus services and designated parking facilities will be provided to accommodate visitors.
The Ministry of Defence has extended an open invitation to the public to attend and participate in the celebration with their families. The Grand Parade will be broadcast live on RTB Sukmaindra and RTB Perdana, and will also be available via online streaming through RTB Go Live. Coverage will additionally be provided over RTB Nasional and RTB Pilihan radio stations.
The RBAF Anniversary Celebration remains a momentous occasion to honour the nation’s armed forces and to showcase their continued dedication to safeguarding Brunei Darussalam’s sovereignty and security.
