President Aliyev Lays Foundation for “Nun” LLC Polypropylene and Laminated Bag Facility
Sumgayit, The Gulf Observer: On January 27, President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev laid the foundation stone for a new polypropylene and laminated bag production facility of “Nun” LLC at the Sumgayit Industrial Park.
Kamran Rzayev, founder of “Nun” LLC, briefed President Aliyev on the planned enterprise. The company, which received resident status in the Sumgayit Industrial Park last year, will construct the facility on one hectare of park territory.
Equipped with German technology, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 1,680 tons of laminated bags and 1,440 tons of polypropylene bags, totaling over 3,120 tons. The products are primarily intended to meet domestic market demand. The project will generate 140 permanent jobs.
The total investment in the facility amounts to 11.2 million manats, with the Azerbaijan Business Development Fund under the Ministry of Economy set to provide a preferential loan of 3 million manats for the project. Imported equipment for the facility is expected to be exempt from value-added tax (VAT) and customs duties upon importation.
