President Berdimuhamedov Meets Head of IGNFI on Turkmenistan’s Independence Day

Ashgabat, The Gulf Observer: On September 28, 2025, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov received Olivier Delumeau, head of the French company IGNFI, who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in celebrations marking the 34th anniversary of the country’s independence.

Olivier Delumeau warmly congratulated the Head of State on the national holiday and commended Turkmenistan’s dynamic socioeconomic development. In response, President Berdimuhamedov expressed gratitude for the kind words and noted that the visit would serve to further strengthen and expand mutually beneficial business cooperation.

During the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of agriculture as a strategic sector for ensuring Turkmenistan’s food security. President Berdimuhamedov stressed that the country is open to cooperation with foreign partners, particularly leading companies with strong expertise and advanced technologies, naming IGNFI as one of them.

The President highlighted that digitalization in agriculture creates opportunities for introducing innovative practices such as precision farming and sustainable agronomy methods. He affirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to review concrete proposals from IGNFI aimed at advancing cooperation in this field.

For his part, Delumeau underlined his company’s interest in engaging in joint projects within Turkmenistan’s agricultural sector.

Concluding the meeting, President Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that cooperation with IGNFI would open new prospects for the development of the country’s agro-industrial complex and wished the company head every success in his work.
