President Biden Vows US Support to Address Regional Risks from Syria
Washington, The Gulf Observer: The United States is committed to working with partners and stakeholders to address risks emanating from Syria, President Joe Biden announced during a speech at the White House.
“This is also a moment of risk and uncertainty as we all wonder what comes next,” President Biden stated. He emphasized that the U.S. would collaborate with its allies in Syria to seize opportunities and manage challenges in the region.
The administration pledged unwavering support to Israel, Jordan, Iraq, and Lebanon in light of potential threats originating from Syria. President Biden underscored that consultations with the leadership of these countries would remain a priority to ensure regional stability.
Additionally, the President reaffirmed the United States’ ongoing commitment to combating ISIS. “The U.S. will not allow the terrorist group to resurface,” Biden declared, reiterating Washington’s resolve to prevent any resurgence of the organization.
The announcement comes as part of broader efforts to maintain security and address humanitarian and strategic challenges in the Middle East.
