Dushanbe, The Gulf Observer: President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, together with Chairman of Dushanbe Rustam Emomali, inaugurated several new educational institutions in the capital, reflecting the government’s continued commitment to improving educational infrastructure.

Among the newly opened facilities is the private kindergarten “Maryam” on Lermontov Street in the Sino district. Constructed over 16 months by local entrepreneur Islamjon Murodov, the three-story building with a basement can accommodate 200 children across 10 groups. The facility is fully equipped for play, recreation, and early childhood development, and employs 30 tutors and specialists.

The kindergarten’s grounds feature six gazebos, children’s playgrounds, fairy-tale figurines, fountains, and landscaped gardens with flowers and trees. President Rahmon described the opening as a “valuable gift for children,” thanking the investor for his patriotic contribution and urging the staff to instill patriotism in future generations.

On the same day, the President and the mayor launched the second stage of the private Horizon Educational Institution in the Sino district. Designed to accommodate 820 schoolchildren in one shift, the facility employs 54 qualified teachers and includes 38 classrooms, specialized subject rooms, a 500-seat assembly hall, a library, cafeteria, sports hall, and dormitory for 280 students.

The institution offers its entire curriculum in English and follows the internationally recognized STEAM education system, widely adopted in developed countries. President Rahmon hailed the school as a successful model of public-private partnership in education and expressed gratitude to entrepreneur Navruz Yunusov for his investment.

Additionally, in the Somon mahalla of Firdavsi district, the Head of State and the mayor inaugurated Secondary School No. 129, built by local businessman Umar Alimadov. The school, designed for 2,400 students in two shifts, comprises 56 classrooms equipped with modern teaching facilities, including 60 computers with internet access.

Through these initiatives, Tajikistan continues to prioritize education as a foundation for national development, while encouraging private sector involvement in strengthening the country’s academic infrastructure.
