President Ilham Aliyev Awards “Sharaf” Order to Speaker Sahiba Gafarova

Baku, The Gulf Observer: On March 19, President of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, awarded the “Sharaf” Order to Sahiba Gafarova, the Speaker of the Milli Majlis, in recognition of her significant contributions to the public and political life of Azerbaijan.

During the ceremony, President Aliyev extended his congratulations to Gafarova, acknowledging her longstanding dedication to Azerbaijan’s development. “You have been playing an active role in Azerbaijan’s public and political life for many years. For 15 years, you have served as a member of the Milli Majlis and, for the past five years, as its Speaker. Your contributions are invaluable,” he said. He also commended her efforts in defending Azerbaijan’s national interests on the international stage while maintaining close relations with her constituents.

The President presented Gafarova with the prestigious “Sharaf” Order, expressing his appreciation for her work. “On this anniversary day, by my order, you have been awarded the ‘Sharaf’ Order,” President Aliyev stated.

In her remarks, Sahiba Gafarova expressed her sincere gratitude to President Aliyev for the recognition. “I consider this high distinction as a recognition of the work of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. I assure you, esteemed Mr. President, that both as a member of the Milli Majlis and as its Speaker, I will continue to support your policies at the parliamentary level,” she said. “As representatives of the people, the entire Milli Majlis will do its utmost to ensure the welfare of the people.”

Gafarova reaffirmed her commitment to serving Azerbaijan with dedication and passion, both as the Speaker of the Milli Majlis and as a citizen of the country. “I will always do my best to fulfill my duties wherever I serve,” she added.
